These lowlife seeds are very fresh and may need soaking for 24hrs in water before attempting germination. Alternatively the 'hands on technique' described below may be required

Germinating Marijuana Seeds

During germination, the marijuana seed awakens from its inactivity. Water is essential here, for as soon as the seed has absorbed a sufficient amount of water, the seedling begins to form its root system. Next it breaks through its shell. germination can take from 18hrs to 10 days all based  on if the seeds are over fresh or under. Over freshness will require a extra period of germinating so expect a little delay on the whole germinating process. There are various possibilities for the process of germinating :
Pre-soaking - place the seeds into a cup of lukewarm water, leave them for 24hours this is pre-soaking the seeds, this should enable a wake up process. make sure they are place in a warm part of the house like near a radiator or something. sometimes this germinates the seeds a little or enables the seed to crack.

Germinating - Put some moist tissues on a plate. Put the seeds on top of them and then put a layer of moist tissues on the seeds. Cover the plate with another upturned plate, so that the seeds are in darkness and the environment remains moist. Put the covered seeds in a warm place (21°C). Update for paper towel method: germinating marijuana easy and successful. Check the seeds every day, sprinkle the tissues if necessary and carefully transplant the seeds when they open and the tip of the root becomes visible. Put the seed in a growth medium (soil or rock-wool), approximately the size of the seed under the surface (about 5 mm).

Hands on germinating: if none of these above methods work and the seeds are ultra hard and fresh, a hands on technique is required this is really simple and effective. simply use your forefinger and thumb and push at the sides "seam" of the seed until a slight opening has been made this can sometimes occur

Sowing in the growing medium - Place the seeds under the surface in the growing medium at approximately the size of the seed. Position the marijuana seeds in soil with pointed end up. Regularly sprinkle the growth medium with water, but make sure that the soil or the rock-wool does not become too wet. The seedling uses the spare food present in the seed for growing. Air is very important for its metabolism. So make sure that the soil remains sufficiently airy. One of the characteristics of rock wool is that it retains much air. Make sure that the rock wool is not standing in water and that the excess water is able to drain away properly. Rockwood has a fine germination climate for the seeds. Remove the cover as soon as the seedlings reach above the medium.
Outside growing - Although it is possible to have the seeds germinate immediately outdoors, the germination percentage will be considerably higher if you first germinate indoors. From April to May the ground temperature is not yet ideal. Regularly put the emerged seedlings in a place where they can get used to outdoor conditions.
Young seedlings - Freshly germinated marijuana seeds which are about to drop the seed shell are seedlings starting its lifecycle. The young plants are still very delicate. Therefore you should not place them in direct sunlight or just below a 400 Watt lamp. This might cause burning. Provide young plants with nutrient water and add Boost to strengthen the root system.

What are the benefits of growing autos then? There are many.

1: Stealth, small plants are easy to hide from unfriendly eyes. Window boxes, hanging baskets, pots on patios, front gardens, mixed in with other plants. Sometimes you can't see what is right under your nose.

2: They will flower regardless of light cycle, you can still grow them under 12/12 if you wish. You can fill up wasted spaces in your vegging room with them and they will flower away quite happily, they can also be grown by someone with limited knowledge of growing marijuana, who may not be aware of the need to switch lights to 12/12. I certainly had no idea when I first started.

3: Multiple harvests outside. You can start autos EARLY in the season and harvest the first lot before it's even time to plant normal strains. If you stagger the plantings you can harvest bud every week, all throughout the summer. Just ask Ch@ppers about that, he's pulled in a fantastic amount of automatic bud this season.

4: Perpetual harvests. It's possibly the easiest way to have a perpetual harvest. Plant seeds, plant more the next week, more the week after, continue this and before you know it, you're planting and harvesting at the same time.

5: Yield. Ok so 1oz per plant doesn't sound very much, but when you think that you can squeeze perhaps 64 autos in a 4ft square, under 1 x 400/600w HPS, 64oz doesn't sound too bad does it? I'd like to be able to get 64oz out of any normal strain in 60 days!!

6: They enable the average outdoor grower to grow bud of a quality that they may never have before thought possible. To grow bud outdoors in less than ideal climates usually requires careful selection of early flowering/maturing strains. People criticise outdoor grown weed for being of poorer quality than indoor grown. This is down to genetics, not environment. After all, an indoor setup is simply mimicing what happens outside. You cannot get better than the great halide in the sky, and it's free too!

Automatics, and our strains inparticular enable growers who are usually limited to early strains, to grow weed like they have always wanted. AK47 grown outdoors, White Russian, Hindu Kush, Blueberry etc etc most outdoor growers would never have been able to sample weed of such quality were it not for autos.

7: Medical growers, lets not forget that some people simply cannot physically grow big plants or have the luxury of an indoor setup. Once again, our strains enable people to grow small sized, easily concealable, potent marijuana right there on their patio, in their conservatory or window box. For someone who relies on the pain relieving benefits of marijuana, to be able to grow their own meds, to feel the enjoyment of caring for a plant and to reap the rewards of their own work without having to rely on others, I'm sure it's a liberating feeling.
